Music history on the premium walking tour through the Olympic Park
- Tour of the Olympic Park with our city explorer Herbi (Rockmuseum Munich)
- Which rock and pop stars have left their mark in the park
- Learn all about the history of music, but also about the architecture and sport surrounding the 1972 Olympic buildings
Experience the former director of the Rock Museum in the Olympic Tower in absolute top form as he vividly recalls his encounters with the world’s rock stars. Herbi Hauke has spoken to many pop and rock heroes and partied backstage, he has experienced some amusing anecdotes at first hand and, after 17 years in the Olympic Tower, knows the park better than almost anyone else in Munich. Of course, he still remembers the 1972 Olympic Games and can also talk about great sporting deeds and assess the impact of the Olympics on his home town.
The Olympic Park is alive
There’s music in the park!
OLYMPIA 72
It has now been over 50 years since the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. The area is still very popular and much used. Of course, the many concerts contribute to the lively flair.

After the Olympics and the departure of the Reds and Blues from the Olympic Stadium, it was clear that sport was no longer everything for the park. On the other hand, culture is increasingly reaching out.
The Olympic Park is now particularly attractive for music fans, with dozens of concerts and open air events every year. We would like to underline this development with our music tour through the Olympic Park. On our approximately two-and-a-half-hour tour, we initially focus on the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, but over the course of the tour we show more and more what the well thought-out concept for the subsequent use of the city has brought in terms of culture and music.

Premium Olympic Tour
The tour schedule
On our 2.5-hour tour, we follow in the footsteps of past concerts and legendary pop and rock stars. We start at the visitor service in front of the ice rink and walk over to the Walk of Stars and further under the tent roof, where we can soak up the uniqueness of this ensemble. The sheer size of the sports and concert venues is also impressive. Continue to the Olympic Hall and the Olympic Stadium (which can hold up to 75,000 fans). We also look down to the Theatron and don’t leave out the Tollwood area. A walk up the mountain to enjoy the magnificent view rounds off our tour.
