Premium Tour I: In the footsteps of Freddie Mercury in Munich
Our city explorers Alex, Roman and Herbi, who have virtually absorbed the music history of Queen and Freddie Mercury, will guide you through this evening.
We bring you closer to the feeling of a typical Freddie Mercury night and are on the trail of many locations in the Gärtnerplatz and Glockenbachviertel as well as in the old town.
This is our radio spot for the Queen tour (and the Schickeria Schwabing tour)
Intimate moments, exciting stories and funny anecdotes from Freddie Mercury’s debauched life in Munich are discussed. Among other things, we visit the Deutsche Eiche and stand in front of the legendary bar Pimpernel and the discotheque Mrs. Henderson, where Freddie celebrated his 39th birthday and shot a legendary birthday video (“Living on my own”).

Premium Tour II: Schickeria Schwabing – Experience the cult district of Schwabing past and present with our city explorers (local guides)
The tour takes you on a zigzag course through Schwabing, past formerly famous places that you can compare with the here and now using old photos.
Your nightlife-experienced city explorers will tell you entertaining stories about the wild and unbridled life that once characterized this district.
We like to individualize the tour with visits to cult pubs and recommended restaurants on our way through Schwabing.
This tour is possible both during the day and in the evening and can convey the feeling of life and lasting impressions of the former cult quarter in 2 to 3 hours.
Adventure tours on an e-bike through the English Garden and the Olympic Park
In spring and summer there are also tours on an e-bike!
To mark the 50th anniversary of the Olympic Park, we developed two tours in the Olympic Park together with the park management.
In just under 3 hours, we show you the historic places of this historic and wonderfully green playground and cultural site. Our city explorers enhance the historical events with exciting anecdotes.
Time travel to the 1972 Olympics – the history of these meeting places, the sporting successes and the implemented vision of sustainable use.
The Olympic Park makes music history – the unique idea of making the sports facilities accessible for a second use through concerts.

Tours in the English Garden on an e-bike

Bavarian rulers, famous landscape architects and industrial barons have all left their mark on the English Garden. In addition to the well-known sights of the huge city park, we also take a look at its hidden corners, from the park’s historical beginnings to the weir on the Isar and its agricultural use. We drive to the Hofgarten, to the Eisbach wave with its famous surfers, to the Chinese Tower and to Kleinhesseloher See. We then explore the quieter northern part of the English Garden and drive all the way up to the traditional Aumeister beer garden.
There are two variants of the tour:
The Olympic Tour with the English Garden as part of the route, the Olympic Park and some Schwabing sights.
There is also a tour of the surrounding area to Freising: BY E-BIKE FROM MUNICH TO FREISING INCL. TOUR OF FREISING Cloister (NEUSTIFT)
We start with a small breakfast (coffee & pretzels) at the MilchHäusl in the English Garden. After a short introduction, we drive through the English Garden towards Freising.
After about 3 hours, we stop for lunch at a traditional inn in Freising. We then visit the historic old town and the cathedral. After the guided walking tour through Freising (approx. 1.5-2 hours), we take the short route to the Weihenstephan beer garden.
Scavenger hunt along the Isar and through Untergiesing

Munich Rally
The Isar Rally is an example of a scavenger hunt with excitement, games and beer and lasts 2.5 to 3 hours. We learn many interesting stories and a lot about Munich and Giesing. Even Munich kids are amazed by some of the stories and everyone looks forward to a good meal in the Isaralm at the end of the tour.
We start at the “Isarwahn” kiosk and are given our first task here. The teams drawn by lot solve the tasks set for them. Our experienced guides are close by throughout the tour and can help if anything goes wrong.
We have also included stops for drinks and snacks along the way.
The winning team will be chosen during the subsequent visit to the beer garden in the “Isaralm”. A delicious snack awaits the guests here. In the beer garden, we review our rally, solve unsolved problems and round off the day with a freshly tapped beer and a homemade Obazd’n.

Team event: Gin tasting & gin making

Gin tasting: taste and learn all about gin first-hand from gin producers in Munich
The gin tasting evening will be hosted by our city explorer and gastro guru Alex Wulkow, who is also the creator of Barguide München and knows all about bar culture. A professional bartender will also be on hand to take care of the preparation and share lots of interesting facts about this exciting spirit.
We will first guide the participants through a blind tasting with sips of various gins and provide them with lots of information on the topic, with the focus on having fun with the glass. In between, everyone is welcome to ask questions or simply raise a glass to the others! The gins are of course also enhanced with the perfect matching tonics.
Gin Maker: Gin DIY for teams!
Instead of a tasting, we can also organize a seminar for small groups of up to 10 people, where you can learn how to make your own gin and then take the result home with you. For this we cooperate with the Curtain Call bar, where these workshops are held outside opening hours. So, if you want to take the first step towards becoming a master distiller, just let us know!

Your city explorer Alex will introduce you to the pleasures of wine on a walking tour through the old town or Maxvorstadt. Or he will take you on his bar & cocktail tours through the Glockenbachviertel, Haidhausen or Schwabing to the newest and most iconic bars. We get to know the chefs and enjoy the ambience and signature drinks of the bars.

Bar & Cocktail Tour
We take you on a tour of 3 bars that are not only worth visiting, but to which we also have a connection. As a gastro guru and editor of the Marco Polo Guides Munich, Alex has a knack for insider tips and knows all the chefs personally. With our city explorer genes, we can of course always tell you the most interesting anecdotes about the neighborhoods and bars.
Beer Tour
For those who are more specialized in the art of beer brewing in Munich, we are also happy to give you a brewery tour with craft beer stations and traditional Munich pubs.
Wine tour
We also like to experience Munich with you with a glass of wine in your hand and on a tour through the old town. You will learn about the history of wine in Munich and Bavaria. Of course, there are also expert tastings with lots of good wines – everything you need for a great evening in the heart of Munich.
Our tours always include the recommended drinks and on a premium tour we can also take care of the catering on request.
